Werner Franke: Handsome, Smart and Psychic
On October 26, 2006 a judge ruled that there was no proof of Jan's involvement with doper to the stars Eufaniano Fuentes. All inquiries should have stopped there, right?
Not Franke's.
That's where his remarkable understanding of the Spanish language came into play. He read the Operation Puerto documents, supplied by a mysterious source (I'm looking at you Lance), and was able to see what no one else could: that Jan spent 35,000 euros a year in doping supplies.
He announced these findings on German television while clutching the incriminating documents in his hands.
The tides turned yesterday when a court in Hamburg, Germany, upheld an injunction against Franke prohibiting him from making such claims against Ullrich.
And now we find out the truth: the esteemed Doctor can't even read Spanish.
So we must assume that Franke must have deduced his awful truths about Jan through his remarkable powers of divination.
He needn't worry about being discredited, though. He can get start a second career as a personal astrologer to Dick Pound.
For the record, what is an anti-doping crusader anyway? Does Franke have adamantium claws? Can he fly? Neither, I believe.
In that case, since when was flapping one's crusty lips to the press a super power? And, if it were, would Ari Fleischer be more like Wonder Woman or Rogue?
And speaking of credibility, look at Franke's teeth. They look like half eaten yellow Chiclets. Would you trust a Doctor with such teeth?

Levi Adopts Birrillo?

The picture above, published today in the San Francisco Chronicle, apparently depicts Levi 'the eternal 6th' Leipheimer and his wife Odessa (w/ pony tail at center, right) sharing their home with Birrillo.
Is Birrillo helping Levi prepare for his spring campaign?
Did Basso leave him behind during his training camp in Solvang?
Did Birrillo really think we'd fall for his cow disguise?
Many questions, few answers.
Mysterious Cunego Photos Surface

The photographs shown above, taken in Italy by Roberto Bettini on Monday, show Damiano Cunego suited up for what appears to be a spin in a fighter jet.
The implications of this huge are huge, and one of Mr. 60's childhood dreams is apparently coming true:
CUNEGO SET TO STAR IN TOP GUN II!!!!!!!!!!

Discovery Dumps Armstrong; Sheryl Pleased
Discovery Channel will pull out of its sponsorship duties of former Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong's team after this season. The team will still race under the Discovery banner in 2007, including the Tour de France, but must find a new sponsor for 2008, Bill Stapleton, Armstrong's longtime agent and general manager of the team, said Friday.
Is it any wonder Discovery got squeamish? After all, would you want to sponsor Ivan "the human blood lab" Basso? It's like signing John Wayne Gacy as pitchman for Dora the Explorer, only more gruesome.
The petulant Armstrong has not released a statement yet, but once he does he'll say it with a Tony Montana accent and it'll probably go something like, "They pull out? No, I pull out. You wanna waste my time? Okay. I call my lawyer. He's the best lawyer in Miami. He such a good lawyer, that by tomorrow morning, Discovery gonna be working in Alaska. They better dress warm."

Walter, Ule and Ete's Music Vid
It seems like forever ago that Eric Zabel and Jan Ullrich were teammates on T-Mobile.
Mr. 60 invites you to look back fondly on those salad days with this gem recently found thanks to the magic of The You Tubes.
The two sang back up vocals for one of Walter Godefroot's side projects, The Boys in Pink. Recorded in early 2002, it quickly climbed its way up the German dance charts.
Their biggest musical influence was Kraftwerk, natch.
It is important to note that 2002 was also the year in which Jan tested positive for Amphetamines.
Enjoy the video HERE
Make sure to watch until the very end and see cameos by Jean-Marie Leblanc and Hein Verbruggen.

Cute Girl Attends Roller Race

Taking a night off from his usual business of entertaining Latvian runway models (it is fashion week -ed), Mr. 60 was honored to attend a decidedly more low brow affair: nyvelocity.com's roller races.
Hosts Alex Ostroy, Andy Shen, and Dan Schmalz, the Rupert Murdoch, Annie Liebowitz and uh, Andy Dick (respectively) of the NYC racing scene did a hell of job (considering).
The surprise of the evening came when a roar of excitement ripped through the crowd. I couldn't figure out what all the commotion was about until I spotted the adorable hipster shown at left.
Mr. 60 tried to catch her eye, but ended up just creeping her out.
Who is she? Why is giving fake money to Kid Rock?
