The rift between the UCI and the ASO continues this week over speculation that the race to the sun, Paris-Nice, may not be held this spring, or something like that. Mr. 60 doesn't really understand what is going on. It has something to do with the Pro Tour, the Anglican Church, dirty doping Spaniards and Italians, as well as Salvatore Commesso (doesn't it always?-ed.)
Pat McQuaid and Christian Prudhomme are battling it out daily in the press:
"The Pro Tour is not a closed circuit," shouted McQuaid on Thursday.
"The Pro Tour is a closed system," responded Prudhomme on, uh, Thursday.
"Ham!" Commesso said Thusday.
With all of the problems now facing the cycling world, isn't it a little counter productive to be bickering so? Mr. 60 has a solution to this ridiculous situation: hire Brian Peppers to mediate. He'll know what to do.
